The MS Office setup takes too much time when the installer may have frozen. In this situation, there may be a possibility that Office may have already completed the installation. Try to restart your system and check whether Office product is available or not. If not then go to the next step.

Method 2: Go with a wired internet connection

There may be a possibility that there is an issue with the WiFi connectivity. Try to connect your system to the internet via an Ethernet connection. Repeat the installation process. The wired connections are faster as compared to the wireless connection.

Method 3: Use Offline MS Office Installer

If you are using the slow internet connection then you may get the issues in the installation process. It may happen due to the firewalls, proxies or antivirus software that slows down the connection. So, try to use the MS Office offline installer file and use it to install the Office. You still need a high-speed internet connection to download the MS Office installer file but you will no longer need it during the installation process.

Method 4: Switch Off Antivirus Software

The antivirus software may slow down the internet connection. So, switch off or uninstall the antivirus software as it may help in installing the Office. If this one does not work for you then do not forget to turn it on or reinstall the antivirus software. If you do not know which antivirus software do you have then check it from the action center of the Control Panel. Tap on the Windows Start button and choose the Control Panel option. Tap on Review computer’s status under System and Security. Tap on the arrow next to the security. Here, you will get the information on the antivirus.

Method 5: Run online repair from Windows Control Panel

Tap on the Windows Start button and then go to the Control Panel. Choose Programs and Features. Thereafter, search for the Office Product that you are trying to install in the list of programs under change a program or uninstall. Tap on Change, and then Online repair. Follow the instructions as mentioned in the screen.

Method 6: Uninstall and Reinstall MS Office

If you install the MS Office incorrectly then you may face the issues. Try to uninstall the Office products completely from your system and then start again with the fresh installation of the software.
