Step 1: Download Office 365 application

  • First of all, open the web browser on your system and go to the login page of Microsoft. If you are not already signed in then you need to click on the sign-in button.
  • Then, go to the Office 365 home page and click on the “install office” button.
  • After that, move to the drop-down menu and select the Office 365 apps to start the downloading process. 

Step 2: Install Office 365 application

After successfully downloading Office 365, follow the below-mentioned steps to install it:

  • If you are using the Edge or Internet explorer then select the run option to install Office 365, or if you are using Chrome browser then choose the setup option or if the web browser is Firefox then click on the save files option.
  • When you see the “Do you want to allow this app to make changes'' pop-up on your screen, then you need to click on the yes button. This will start the installation process of Office 365.
  • Once you have successfully installed Office 365, you will see a pop-up saying “you’re all set! Office is installed now” and an animation video on your screen. This animation will show you where to find the Office apps on the PC, finally, click on the close button.

Step 3: Activate Office 365 application

The final step to set up office 365 is the activation of Office 365. Follow the below-mentioned steps to activate the Office 365 application:

  • In order to open the Office app, click on the start button from the lower-right corner of the screen and then enter the name of an Office app.
  • Then, select the icon of the Office app in the search result to open it.
  • When the Office app opens on your screen, you need to accept the license agreement. With this, the Office app is activated and is ready to use.
  • If the Office has trouble in the activation process, then the activation wizards will appear on your screen. Follow the steps in the activation wizard to finish the activation of Office.
